Modular Phone Wallet

Tools & Technologies
Project Overview
The core design challenge for this project was adaptability. On campus, my carrying needs were minimal—typically just a student ID and a room key. However, venturing off-campus required a full suite credit cards, gift cards, and my driver's license. I didn't want the bulk of a full wallet permanently attached to me, so I designed a modular system that could adapt to the context.
I engineered a custom TPU phone case with embedded high-strength magnets to serve as a mounting platform. This allowed me to create a streamlined wallet module with mid-print insert magnets that I could snap on when I needed the extra capacity or remove entirely for a slimmer profile. Seeing the utility of this magnetic interface, I expanded the concept beyond just being a wallet. Now whenever I get home, I have a multidirectional phone stand that can prop my phone up to easily show me notifications.
